Kurt Adler's 3 French Hens

While in the army, Kurt Adler, the namesake for the company, worked in the procurement department, learning logistics and how to source merchandise. After WWII ended, Kurt continued to use these skills, exporting general goods to recovering European countries, and once their economies began to stabilize, he began importing holiday products to give American households a little European flair during Christmas time. Before he knew it, his company was importing beautiful handmade angels from Germany, glass ornaments from Czechoslovakia, and sparkling miniature lights from Italy. Today, over 75 years later, Kurt Adler Inc is one of the leading American distributors and importers for holiday decorations, and the company continues to be family owned! A part of Kurt Adler’s Hollywood Nutcracker collection, this nutcracker takes a humorous and whimsical spin on the three French hens from the “Twelve Days of Christmas.” Complete with glittering accents, this well-dressed Frenchman holds a model Eiffel Tower in one hand and a basket with three hens atop his head!
