Smokecracker

While this piece may look like an ordinary Santa themed nutcracker, it is officially called a Raunchknacker or Smokecracker. Created by Seiffen with Müller Kleinkunst, and despite its humorous name, the Smokecracker is the first of its kind - a smoker and a nutcracker. An incense cone can be placed inside the piece, and smoke will emerge through the nutcracker-like mouth of the figure, combining the two German woodworking traditions of smokers and nutcrackers into one. Since both smokers and nutcrackers are traditional to the Christmas season, this Smokecracker was made to resemble one of the most universally recognized Christmas figures - Santa Claus.
